It must of been Bigglesworth from the Austin Powers movie when the sphynx cat first intrigued us. We quickly had to learn more about having a hairless sphynx kitten of our own. We fell in love with the breed in the mid 90's and adopted a sphynx kitten for a pet. Many of our friends and family quickly feel in love with our boy and in order to save him from being cat-napped, we had a couple litters to share the love. As most of our family were dog lover; it was easy for them to convert. Sphynx kittens for everyone!
After a decision to migrate from corporate to family life, we decided to pursue the hairless breeding endeavor on a full time basis. Viola.
Beeblebrox Sphynx is a home-based family cattery in the midwest with 3 locations in Michigan in Canada. Our goal is to produce healthy, happy sphynx kittens while preserving the sweet and lovable personality traits and fun, active temperment and of this amazing breed of cats. We breed for quality, not quanity. We do have a nice foundation of cats and are very diligent in our breeding practice. We typically have 1 litter per female breeder per year and with 8 females in our family, you can be assured to find a furless kitten with us.
All of our cats live in a home environment; they sleep in our beds, not cages. They are part of our family. We are proud to be 100% FLV, FIV, FCV free and are open for visits by appointment Monday - Saturday 9am - 9pm.
Our breeders undergo HCM scan every 12-18 months and are DNA tested for genetic issues and attributes. Our sphynx kittens are sold to pet families and to National/International breeders.
